Startup Support Program - FINEP
The Finep Startup Program aims to:
(i) strengthen the National Science, Technology and Innovation System, through support for emerging Brazilian technology-based companies that play a fundamental role in introducing new technologies and business models into the market;
(ii) provide financial resources so that Startups with high growth and return potential can successfully face the main challenges of their initial stages of development, contributing to the creation of qualified jobs and income generation for Brazil;
(iii) promote the growth of the seed capital market in Brazil, sharing with private agents the risks associated with investing in technology-based start-up companies.
Support Value:
Up to R$2,000,000.00 (two million reais).
Target audience
Startups that have billed at least R$81,000 (eighty-one thousand reais) in the twelve months prior to submission of the proposal, that have had gross revenue of no more than R$4,800,000.00 (four million and eight hundred thousand reais) in the previous calendar year and that have been registered as a Limited Liability Company (“LTDA”) or Public Limited Liability Company (SA) for at least 6 (six) months from the submission of the proposal.
For the purposes of this Program, a startup refers to an innovative company, with high potential for growth and return, flexible and agile, which works in conditions of uncertainty and has a repeatable and scalable business model, capable of solving a real problem.
